At the heart of my work, I strive to create empathic connections with the individuals I work with—creating spaces for them to explore and express all of themselves, and to feel seen, heard, and understood while doing so. I find that people often come to therapy to make negative feelings go away. While this can happen, I also understand the work of therapy as empowering yourself to be able to have and learn from your difficult feelings while feeling safe and connected to yourself and others. I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw from various approaches and modalities in order to provide care that is individualized and personal. I have extensive experience working with CPTSD, PTSD, relational trauma, addiction and substance use, eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, grief and loss, and chronic pain and chronic illness. I also provide recovery, trauma and parent coaching services. Coaching is ideal for individuals who do not wish to engage in the process of psychotherapy and/or are motivated to pursue self-study and alternative routes towards healing and wholeness. I walk alongside you to brainstorm, to provide information, education and potential resources, and to examine potential decisions. I provide guidance, support, encouragement.
