Are you feeling stuck in negative thoughts, intense emotions, or behavioral patterns that don’t serve your best interest? Are you hoping to build more meaning and joy in your life? You may feel hesitant about reaching out for help, especially with pressure from all directions to “have it all together”. I’m here to join you on this journey to discover healing and build a balanced life. I provide collaborative, authentic, compassionate, client-centered and non-judgmental counseling. My goal is to help you find compassion for yourself, develop skills to help you navigate life stressors, identify how you can become the best version of yourself, and be confident in the resilient person you are. Specializing in depression, crisis intervention, anxiety, trauma, military families welfare and life stressors using an eclectic approach of the following: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT focuses on a person’s unique experience in the present moment while helping individuals and couples with their communication strategies, and coping abilities, conflict-resolution, and stress-management skills. They can also help these individuals become more attuned to their emotions, more equipped at using the information provided by these feelings, and better able to cope with difficult feelings that they experience in their daily lives. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT is an evidence-based treatment for teens and adults who struggle to regulate extreme emotions. We use DBT to treat a variety of mental health concerns such as major depression and self harm or suicidal behaviors/thoughts. DBT teaches clients how to de-escalate by teaching a set of four skills. Mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected and works to help people make changes to the way they think, feel, and behave using a variety of techniques. I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 76698).
