Hello! I am Cooper Morgan, a Brenau University clinical counseling master’s graduate who traded in his baseball cleats for books. Over the course of my life, my passions shifted toward learning about people with the hope that one day I could help someone through the darkness they face. I earned a multicultural specialization in religion and spirituality in mental health because I value people’s right to have their own values, and I see them as a source of strength. In my career, I have experience working with clients facing men’s issues, existential concerns, substance abuse, trauma, depression, and more. I consider myself an Existential-humanistic therapist concerned with helping people see their lives more clearly, make more choices to be proud of, and encourage people to become who they want to be. My priority is allowing your experiences, thoughts, and emotions to show themselves in session and tackle struggles on your terms. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to address self-talk and a wide variety of thought-related struggles you may be experiencing. Such as anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and more. I care about creating a collaborative relationship focused on being honest with yourself, setting goals, and finding meaning as a way of facing struggles. I hope that our meetings will leave you feeling you know yourself better, more capable of changing your life, and viewing your circumstances in a more positive light. Hard times can feel like they will never end, but a commitment to yourself can make sure the light never goes out.
