She has a passion for helping children learn to express their emotions and improve their mental health through play therapy strategies. She develops age-appropriate treatment plans that include objectives and goals in order to help each individual work toward long-term change. In addition to working with children and teens, she understands the importance of including parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process for the best outcomes. She has many interventions and parenting techniques to help parents support their loved ones on their mental health journey. In addition to her experience working with children, Cortnee has worked for the past seven years in the counseling field in both private practice and non-profit settings. Some of her specialties include: Emotional Regulation Skill Development, Parenting Skills, Anxiety/OCD, ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, Mood Disorders.
