CORTNEY RECEIVED HER MASTER'S DEGREE IN ECOPSYCHOLOGY FROM ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY SEATTLE. HER MASTER'S PROJECT FOCUSED ON HOW MINDFUL PRACTICES IN NATURE HEAL THE WOUNDS OF TRAUMA, SPECIFICALLY SURROUNDING WAR, MILITARY SERVICE, AND THE MISPLACEMENT OF PEOPLE FROM THEIR ROOTS, CULTURE, AND SPIRITUALITY. CORTNEY FOUNDED MINDFUL RESTORATION IN MINNESOTA IN 2011 AND BEGAN FACILITATING ECOTHERAPY RETREATS AND COURSES, SHE ACQUIRED HER LICENSE FROM THE STATE AS A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELOR AS WELL AS GAINING CERTIFICATION IN NEUROFEEDBACK FROM THE BIOFEEDBACK CERTIFICATION INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCE. SHE COMPLETES QEEG (QUANTATATIVE ELECTROCEPHENOGRAPHY) ASSESSMENTS AS A QEEG DIPLOMATE. SHE IS TRAINED IN MIND-BODY MEDICINE FROM THE CENTER FOR MIND-BODY MEDICINE. SHE IS FLUENT IN AMERICAN SIGN-LANGUAGE.
