"All kids need is a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in them." - Magic Johnson. As adults, life has a way of presenting us with challenges that would seem nearly impossible to tackle, or overcome. These factors impact our thoughts, feelings and often change our 'typical' day-to-day routines to behavior outside of our norm, making it difficult to find our internal peace. In my practice, I have found these same adversities to be the case for our kids, with the added difficulty of navigating them throughout their early years of development when they are juggling a handful of other complex emotions. In therapy, I hold creative and open spaces for children, adolescents, and teens, using active listening, rapport-building and introducing individualized interventions to support their own unique journeys towards healing. Through this work, I also believe in empowering my clients and their families through education and resources. In our collaborative work together, my clients find welcoming, approachable and affirming care in an informal setting. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I am trained in cognitive, behavioral, and trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, in addition to disorders related to executive functioning and self-directed behaviors. I utilize a variety of therapy models, including EMDR. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I offer in person sessions only. I am licensed in Ohio and Michigan.
