I understand that seeking counseling while struggling with your depression, anxiety, grief, and/or relationship conflicts can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. Therefore, from our first contact, I try to help you feel as supported and comfortable as possible in each session while first obtaining a thorough history and then collaboratively identifying realistic goals for you. I strive to help you move from where you feel stuck now to where you want to be in the future. This best happens as we gently and purposely explore confusing and painful emotions, entrenched relationship patterns, and hurtful beliefs that weigh you down in the moment to moment living of your life. Then, we collaborate to discover solutions and new ways of relating to yourself and to others. My style is supportive, kind, and strong as you and I journey together on your path to healing. I work with adults, couples, and families in their search for connection, meaning, and peace. If desired by you, I also welcome the exploration of the impact of your faith and spiritual practices on your current functioning.
