Crista James, MSW, LCSW (she, her, hers) - Crista is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Tele-Health Mental Health Therapist at Higher Sights. Originally from the Northwest, Crista moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, to attend Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Social Work degree with a minor in gerontology and a Master's of Social Work degree. Crista also has an Associates of Applied Science degree in Holistic Health, is licensed and certified in Massage Therapy, is trained in Reiki I, and Healing Touch III. In practice, Crista enjoys counseling individuals of all ages and specializes in counseling older adults navigating the later years of life. She applies researched based methods such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and mindfulness techniques, to address anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, and other complex issues. Crista enjoys integrating her knowledge of holistic wellness of mind, body, and spirit with the bio-psycho-social environment systems perspective of social work to provide an integrative and personalized therapy.
