Introduction

Cristen Fitzgerald, LPC, earned her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, where she studied Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation, and Music. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Arcadia University, where she was awarded The Samuel M. Cameron Graduate Award for Excellence in Counseling Psychology, as well as selected to be a Graduate Student Leader by the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. Prior to expanding her private practice, Cristen most recently worked at Silver Hill Hospital, where she was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. While working for Silver Hill, Cristen facilitated intensive outpatient groups for adults of all ages and adolescents struggling with mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, addiction, and trauma. Prior to working at Silver Hill, Cristen has worked for years with individuals in both outpatient community settings and inpatient acute behavioral health. She maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Ridgefield, CT where she offers individual therapy and skills groups.
