Cristina has over 18 years of professional counseling experience. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Pastoral Counseling in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2004. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with her designation to supervise other Licensed Professional Counselors and is trained in EMDR. Cristina specializes in working with adults in a wide spectrum of emotional, behavioral, and addiction issues (including unresolved trauma, complex bereavement & loss, midlife issues, women’s issues, women in ministry, anxiety, post-partum, self-esteem struggles, family therapy, and career counseling). Cristina offers counseling in a safe, fully confidential, private practice environment. Her approach is compassionate, empathic, non-judgmental, genuine, and challenging. She invites you to speak openly and at your own pace. She provides counseling with integrity, respect and reflection. Cristina is deeply humbled by the courage it takes to share your story and is committed to walking with you through this journey of healing and personal growth. Cristina's techniques vary from Supportive to Insight-Oriented psychotherapy. She is skilled in Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques, EMDR, Evidenced-Based Practices when working with addiction struggles and incorporates Biblical Counseling when requested. She works from a bio-psycho-social context and her treatment approach is tailored to fit your individual needs.
