Cryshanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Elisha Lambert, LPC-S. Cryshanna is also a United States Marine Corps veteran where she served for 8 years prior to embarking on the journey to become a counselor. Cryshanna received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Columbia College, San Diego, California Campus and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lubbock Christian University. Cryshanna began her journey as a counselor by volunteering for a homelessness prevention program in Onslow County while her husband was stationed in Jacksonville, NC. There she learned the most underprivileged in our society receive the least amount of mental health care. Cryshanna's husband is also a United States Marine Veteran, so she does understand the trials that come with being a veteran as well as a military spouse. As a parent, a veteran, and a military spouse, Cryshanna has unique insight into the challenges children, adolescents, and parents face in the world today. She has a heart and a passion for veterans and first responders, as well as other families that feel misunderstood or alone. Clients work with Cryshanna to develop skills in order to bring about positive changes in themselves as well as self-confidence to improve their relationships all around. Cryshanna is eclectic in her counseling approach utilizing client-centered, solution-focused, and evidence-based practices tailored to the individual she is working with in order to bring about changes that work for the individual. When seeing children and adolescents, she believes in working collaboratively with parents and/or guardians for the highest level of care. When working with adults or parents, the approach is to provide individualized care and information for their specific needs. Cryshanna's goal and objective is to walk alongside clients during their own journey of discovery, growth, and change. Cryshanna met her husband while they were serving together in the Marine Corps, and together they have three daughters. She loves to volunteer for their sporting events on the weekends. She does listen to podcasts, reads, and has two dogs that keep her quite busy as well. Cryshanna is a member of the Texas Counseling Association and supports her local disabled Veteran's Association as well as other first responder suicide prevention awareness.
