My name is Cynthia (she/her), and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Oregon and Massachusetts. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I served as a public interest attorney in Michigan and Oregon. As a psychologist, I continue to work from a liberation framework, drawing from psychoanalytic theories. I approach therapy as a collaboration, working towards understanding the meaning behind manifest symptoms by exploring one’s distinctive history, upbringing, sociopolitical context, and life events as it relates to the present. I am especially interested in shifting patterns of psychological trauma to embolden one’s sense of agency for a more compassionate and creative sense of being with self and others. ........
