Hello, I'm Cynthia S. Nelson, but you can call me Cyndi. I'm the proud owner of Positive Flow Counseling, LLC. Ralph Waldo Emerson said: "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." This sentiment drives my work, reminding me of our inherent strength and resilience. As a single mother, I faced many challenges that inspired me to social work. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from UWSP and while juggling full-time work and my responsibilities as a single parent, I achieved my Master's Degree in Counseling. Today, as a licensed professional counselor, I continue my mission to help others. I offer personalized care for issues such as depression, anxiety, young adult planning, trauma, women's issues, LGBTQ matters, PTSD, grief, relationships, and mood disorders. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based, viewing you, my clients, as the experts of your own lives. I believe in the power of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Solution Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
