Introduction

Hi! I'm Daisy (she/her). I'm here to help you heal so that you are free to be yourself and have the life you want for yourself without your anxiety, depression, trauma, or past getting in the way :) I'm passionate about helping adults 18+ who feel overwhelmed and anxious all the time and are looking for a deeper meaning in their life because I remember how hard it was to find a therapist who truly understood what I was going through and how to help. My practice is culturally sensitive, spiritually guided, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I believe individuals truly deserve to heal because I know it's possible- I've had to do it myself. In my early 20's as a young Latina, I decided to try individual therapy despite the stigma and judgement against it in my culture. It helped a ton! I started living life the way I actually wanted to instead of how I thought I needed to in order to please my family or conform to my culture's expectations of me. In my early 30's, my now husband and I did a lot of couples therapy to heal from a very deep and stubborn fear of intimacy. We grew able to trust and depend on each other and our marriage has enabled a lot of deep personal healing as well. If I was able to heal and finally break free from all that I was carrying (which was a lot!), I know you can too. Together, we'll slow things down and do a lot of deep breathing and grounding to help your body feel calm again. It's easier to be more present and gain the clarity you want when your heart is beating at a normal pace, when your muscles aren't tensed but relaxed, and when your breathing is nice and full. I'm certified (Acudetox Specialist) to provide ear acupuncture for stress-reduction, trauma, and recovery if that is something you are willing to try. I also provide EMDR therapy, parts work, and regularly include meditation and mindfulness practices during therapy sessions. I am bilingual (Spanish) and bi-cultural (Mexican-American). When I'm not seeing clients, you can find me cooking, jamming out to Dua Lipa, or chasing after my two young toddlers! I also really value travel, spiritual growth, and spending time outside of my comfort zone. I served in the Peace Corps as a volunteer in Senegal from 2010-2013 and absolutely loved my service. I look forward to and consider it an honor to work with you :)
