Hello! Thank you for taking the first step in your therapy journey and your willingness to involve me in this process. I have spent the last 9 years of my professional career working with adolescents and adults from all different backgrounds, races, genders, faiths, abilities, and values. I’ve spent time working with refugees and unaccompanied minors, Persons Living with HIV (PLWH), the Dept. of Human Services, and in various acute psychiatric inpatient hospital units. I have a passion for working with LGBTQ-identifying individuals, as a member of the community myself. And I also provide a sex-positive and non-traditional relationship-affirming space within my sessions. The foundation of my social work practice lies in Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also incorporates components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Collaborative Problem Solving. For me, it is important to maintain and safe, judgement-free space for clients to be authentic and honest, and in turn, creating a strong therapeutic bond. I believe in exploring and identifying strengths to work toward goals that are identified early on in the therapeutic process. Additionally, I find it important to maintain focus on goals-driven sessions, ensuring a timely treatment plan with realistic outcomes and a targeted purpose. *I am available for appointments on evenings and weekends!* Phone: (971) 415-5755 Fax: (971) 415-5855 E-mail: dakota@trajectorytherapyservices.com
