Dana is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in trauma-informed therapy. Dana is a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor and Disaster Mental Health Volunteer with the American Red Cross. Dana focuses on trauma healing related to individual and family systems, particularly the influence of unresolved past and generational trauma, and its impacts on couple and family relationships. This includes addressing the co-occurring artifacts of trauma, like substance use disorders and self-harm. Dana believes in the power of connection and collaboration to create healing. She leverages her cultural sensitivity and expertise in evidence-based approaches to help individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and substance use disorders. Witnessing positive transformations in families fuels her passion for this work. Dana believes in validating her clients' lived experiences. She sees the therapist's role as creating a safe, non-judgmental space where people can feel empowered to understand themselves better. As someone in recovery, Dana has seen firsthand how lives can be transformed in the safety of a healing space. From her healing, Dana has developed a deep commitment to healing the world through her work with individuals, couples, and families. Dana earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Clinical Counseling from Touro University. Dana received a Bachelor of Sciences in Design Communication from the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, followed by a certification in Art Direction. Before to becoming a psychotherapist, Dana enjoyed an extensive career in advertising as an Art Director and Creative Director. Dana sees clients in person in Palos Verdes Estates, and via telehealth.
