Introduction

Hi, welcome to my page. Thanks so much for taking the time to explore your interest in therapy; I would love to help! In my therapy practice and in my life, I bring a love and appreciation for multiculturalism to my client-centered, empathic, compassionate, and creative treatment with clients. Throughout my career, I have worked in many settings, including with adolescents in therapeutic foster homes,in an inpatient psychiatric care setting with more acute children, teens, and adults, and in private practice. With many years of experience, I feel able to use my clinical acumen to quickly understand clinical complexities  (from suicidal ideation/self-harming behaviors, to schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders) and I use developed targeted, evidence-treatments to make an immediate, and lasting impact on the quality of clients' lives. I also know that therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach and value different nuances in each client. It is important to me to build rapport and gain good understanding of clients' specific needs, nuances, and goals, so we can work together to best tailor treatment. My therapy motto is, in the words of Carole King: “Where you Lead, I Will Follow.” This means that I meet my client where they are in their lives. I enjoy working with individuals, beginning at age 10 and all the way through adulthood. . Dana is a client centered clinician, but incorporates Cognitive Behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems to working with clients who have anything ranging from anxiety to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My hope in working with you is to create a safe, secure partnership to enable my clients to grow. https://healingheartmh.com/
