Hello! Over the years, we all have experiences that influence our current view of the world and subsequently our relationships, our behavior, and our survival strategies. Many times we are unaware of the subconscious beliefs and survival pathways that lead us to become stuck in relationship and behavior cycles that are hurtful to ourselves and/or others. In our sessions, we will work together to see, name, and change these patterns through a variety of modalities such as skill building, teaching, writing, discussion, art, and body movement. I see therapy as a partnership between you and I. We will work on goals that you want to work on. I act like a guide to your healing journey. I will make trail suggestions, provide helpful gear and safety strategies, point out significant scenery, give input along the way, schedule water breaks etc., but you name the destination. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe emotionally, physically, and spiritually. To try something new, to make a change requires hope, vulnerability, and courage.
