Introduction

Feeling stuck and can't figure out why? Maybe you have noticed patterns that are getting in the way. You might react too quickly, getting angry and loud, and then feeling guilt or shame afterwards. Perhaps, you find yourself going blank in different situations where you don't know what to say and feel like shutting down. Maybe you might want connection with people, but it might be hard to trust and put yourself out there. Even knowing these patterns doesn't make it easy to figure out what to do. Our body is wired to keep us safe and sometimes these patterns develop as ways of trying to help us, even if they get in the way. My approach focuses on helping you use awareness so you can feel more in control. You will learn strategies to reduce in the moment intensity and to become curious about these patterns so we can see how they may be useful in some situations. Doing this will allow you to understand them more so you can develop other methods to meet those same needs. It isn't easy talking about some of these patterns and feelings, so connection with your therapist is important. Contact me today for a free consultation so you can see if we would be a good fit, as well as talk more about your goals and how I can help.
