Introduction

Life Tide Therapy practice predominantly supports individuals (teens and adults) and/or couples; partnering as a relational helper to help navigate through the ebb and flow of life, offering compassionate, trauma-informed care that promotes healing and personal growth. Harnessing life’s tides through fostering resilience and creating change through the power of relational and narrative therapy. I have experience working with children and adolescents, adults, families and couples from diverse backgrounds for the past 12 years. My areas of work have included but are not limited to struggles around anxiety, depression, identity concerns, self-esteem issues, trauma, life transitions, relational issues, and daily stressors. I use an eclectic approach, drawing from various practices such as relational therapy, narrative therapy, client-centered therapy, with some features of dialectical behavioral therapy, attachment and psychodynamic framework, and I approach therapy through a mindfulness, justice-orientated, culturally sensitive, queer-affirmative, and a trauma informed lens. With creativity and adaptability, I work to craft engaging therapy sessions, fostering curiosity and innovation. I practice from a collaborative and non-pathologizing approach to support people in exploring and better understanding the difficulties that they experience and work to make visible their values and strengths. I believe in a relational process in which finding a therapist that is a "good fit" as the groundwork for a supportive, transformative process. Stepping into the therapeutic process is the first movement towards self discovery and growth. Partnering as a relational helper, I hope to shift focus from a problem-focused story to one of strength and resilience, matched with empowerment and a clearer sense of agency; working together to create the desired changes. "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do" -Brene' Brown
