Danielle Kovac is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dual licensed in the states of California and Connecticut. Danielle graduated from the University of Connecticut with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. In 2013, she began working in Community Mental Health in both Residential and Outpatient settings in her home state of Connecticut. After she and her husband moved to California to be close to family, Danielle became the Program Director of an Adolescent and Teen Treatment Program in the Bay Area. She then transitioned into group private practice in 2018 in San Francisco. After witnessing the incredible transformations of her clients through their work together, she created Kovac Therapy and Wellness to continue assisting clients in their journeys. She is currently located in San Diego offering Telehealth to individuals in California and Connecticut to ensure the utmost safety during this time. Danielle is committed to ongoing learning and growth in an effort to provide the highest level of care for each of her clients. In 2016, she was trained and certified with National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) to offer auricular acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to her clients in Connecticut. Additionally, Danielle was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and able to provide EMDR during both in person as well as video Telehealth sessions. In 2022 Danielle became a Certified Grief Educator, a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief. She finds it imperative to engage in ongoing Continuing Education and training, seeking to always learn and grow herself. Danielle has drawn upon her diverse and extensive professional experience across multiple populations to build an understanding of people’s unique needs and looks forward to hearing more about yours.
