I work from a relational psychodynamic attachment lens, where I believe relief comes from gaining more insight into oneself. Without awareness and understanding it is hard to change something unwanted or unknown. We first learn how to interact within our earliest experiences, with family, peers, and our community. These experiences have a great impact on our inner dialogue and emotional responses, creating the way in which we interact with ourselves and others, many times beyond our awareness. These unknown ways of relating can become the catalyst to our desires and motives, leading to perpetual unstable patterns of behaving and thinking. There is power and healing in sharing our experiences, and by building an authentic and substantive therapeutic relationship we can work together to better understand your experiences and their influences on interactions.
