As a dual-licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I specialize in providing holistic, patient-centered care for diverse, vulnerable and underserved populations. With advanced certifications in family medicine, behavioral health, and correctional healthcare as well as specialized expertise in Integrative Psychiatry, I offer a unique, compassionate approach to treating the whole person—mind and body. My extensive professional experience includes work in geriatric psychiatry- specializing in consults to address the neuropsychiatric symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia, as well as working with Medicare/Medicaid on pilot telehealth programs intended to support caregivers and individuals diagnosed with dementia, intellectual or developmental disability. In recent years, I have focused my practice on trauma-informed care, supporting individuals facing caregiver burnout, PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia and related conditions with targeted, evidenced-based interventions to address chronic stress and trauma response. I believe in a comprehensive, integrative approach to mental health that considers both the physiological and psychological aspects of care. My background in psychiatry, internal medicine, geriatric long-term care and correctional healthcare allows me to understand and address the mental and physical complexities faced by a diverse panel of patients. I am particularly dedicated to improving healthcare access and mental health outcomes for vulnerable and/or marginalized populations, some of which include- caregivers of individuals diagnosed with chronic/terminal illness, elders diagnosed with neurodegenerative disease, individuals diagnosed with neurodivergent conditions (ie: SPD/OCD/ASD/ADHD), and individuals with a history of substance dependence or involvement with the criminal justice system. Through telehealth solutions, I deliver accessible, compassionate, curated care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My trauma-informed approach ensures that every patient is treated with empathy, dignity, and respect as we work together toward healing and well-being.
