Introduction

Are you tired of feeling anxious? Anxiety is exhausting. Maybe your life looks good from the outside, but inside you're overwhelmed and on edge. Your mind is spinning about everything you need to accomplish today or about events that may happen in the future. You're always worrying. The anxiety feels like tightness in your chest, a tense jaw, and your body feels constricted all the time. You find yourself impatient and angry with the people you love the most. You have persistent thoughts that bully you, tell you you're not good enough and you can't get relief from this mental chatter. You’re struggling to hold it all together. You want to feel calm, content, understood by those around you, and excited about life again. You want to be at peace, make decisions more easily, and feel confident. You want to learn how to finally put yourself first without feeling guilty or selfish. You are ready to quiet the inner critic so that you can feel more carefree and enjoy life. I offer tools so you know what to do when you feel sad, anxious and overwhelmed. We can work on how to respond to your busy, anxious mind and negative thoughts. There is a way out of suffering. I strive to utilize the best research evidence to address your unique and specific needs. I draw upon Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), as well as somatic techniques to address the connection between the body and mind. What always underlies my work is warmth, compassion and acceptance. I help my clients to foster self-compassion, to shift away from beliefs about being deficient or broken. I help people to see their inherent goodness. Visit my website at www.Mesa-Psych.com
