Darcey Fairchild, LCSW, PMH-C

I acknowledge that my practice is located on the ancestral lands of the Séliš (Salish), Ksanka (Kootenai), and Qlispe (Pend d’Oreille/Kalispel) people. It is with deep gratitude and humility that I honor this truth, and work to decenter settler narratives and practices. Identity often shapes our experiences. As a cis, queer, white practitioner of European lineage, I find it important to share parts of my identity with potential therapy participants and acknowledge there are many spaces where I hold privilege. I would love to navigate conversation to ensure your safety and comfort is of absolute priority in our work together. _____________________________________________________ Darcey Fairchild, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began her specialization in Perinatal Mental Health after experiencing firsthand the distress of postpartum anxiety. Her own healing journey began with yoga, trail running and therapy, and ultimately led to the practice of somatic experiencing and a holistic exploration and embrace of health. In her practice, Darcey integrates neurobiology, understanding of the nervous system, and the healing power of nature, in addition to more traditional modalities, as she helps therapy participants understand and overcome recurrent and patterns which no longer serve. Darcey is a certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Intermediate level student, and loves the work of supporting the wildland fire and first responder communities as well. Darcey has previously worked as a counselor at a progressive private school, in the Emergency Department at Providence, with unhoused veterans, and supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with the YWCA. She also spent several years working with families experiencing grief as well as designing programming for military families. In addition to clinical work, Darcey is Co-Director of Adventure Mamas Initiative. When Darcey is out of office, you will find her skiing, on the river, or deep in the woods, exploring nature with her family.
