Life is too precious to be derailed by life struggles: unhealthy relationships, conflicts, past trauma. You do not need to feel anxious, depressed or irritable all the time. I want you to be able to wake up each morning and engage in a meaningful and purposeful day and not be overwhelmed with all the uncomfortable thoughts/feelings/experiences that may show up throughout the day and night. You may feel, afraid, hopeless or alone inside as it can be uncomfortable to express your feelings to others. I am passionate about helping individuals or couples navigate life’s challenges and create a rich meaningful life. I offer a chance for you to be heard, process your thoughts, and then explore alternative ways to view these challenges. Often, we cannot control the ups and downs of life, but we can have some control over how we respond to our thoughts, feelings and experiences as they arise. As the familiar saying goes: “yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why we call it the present." In my therapy practice, I provide a safe, nonjudgemental space to foster connection by listening and understanding your concerns and your perspective. I believe that developing a good relationship in order to build trust is the starting point of any process that will result in healing and movement towards the life you envision. I see each client as unique and utilize my 30 years of experience to match my client's needs to the most beneficial therapeutic intervention-- it's all about connections. One model does not fit all. Let’s take this journey together toward greater clarity, connection, and purpose. Previous clients have described me as caring, thoughtful and focused on developing a safe space where they can be vulnerable without feeling judged. My clients appreciate my sense of humor and sharing of my own experiences and ability to connect as fellow humans. I believe my role is much more than just nodding my head and providing validation. I believe in creating meaningful change and working towards improving your health and wellness. To achieve this, we need to engage in a meaningful relationship and gently reflect, challenge and move towards creating change in behaviors, thoughts and emotions. I invite you to schedule a free 20 minute consultation to discuss your thoughts and goals for therapy and whether my style and approach will work for you. I accept private pay and most insurance*. I am currently available for both virtual and in-person and appointments.
