David R. Buck earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. David provides person-centered, psychodynamic counseling services by partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal potential. Existential philosophies inspire psychotherapy and are used to drive identity development and crises resolution. Therapy provides support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that clients already have in order to improve the quality of their lives through individual, couples, and family work. Primary areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, couples, and identity development. Aside from treating clients with general mental health concerns, David has also made progress in working with clients on the Autism Spectrum in order to assist them in developing social skills and coping mechanisms through psychoeducation so they may thrive in their every day life and development. He has also worked with clients dealing with Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and phobias through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Imaginal Exposure Therapy. David has extensive experience working with active duty and military veterans, police officers, and first responders in treating anxiety and trauma related disorders.
