Introduction

David is a licensed mental health counselor with over 3 years of experience working as a therapist. David received his Master’s degree in Counseling and Community Psychology from Sage Graduate School in Albany in 2020. His counseling style is based on authenticity and compassion with a focus on facilitating the development of sustainable skills for continued growth and lasting progress. David uses an approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused techniques, and person-centered techniques to assist clients with a variety of symptoms. Throughout his career, he has striven to meet the needs of his clients while creating a safe environment for them to express themselves. He believes that every client has a unique story that led them to where they are and believes meeting clients where they are is key to assisting them in deciding where they would like to go. He views clients as the experts of their own lives, and views therapy as a journey client and their therapists undergo together. David works to provide a light on this journey, and to help his clients learn to be their own light.
