Introduction
Hello, I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and also certified in rehabilitation counseling. I graduated in 2013 and have been practicing since. Many people with whom I work present with concerns related to communication, self-esteem, worry, depression or past trauma. I have also had the pleasure of working with individuals who experience addiction and substance abuse. I enjoy working with teens and providing group counseling. I believe counseling can heal, provide comfort and that the journey, while difficult at times, can be enjoyed and appreciated. I work from a variety of approaches with emphasis always on the therapeutic relationship. My focus includes a holistic approach that attends to all an individual's needs including physical, mental and even spiritual. I believe in being present, attentive and going through the therapeutic process as a team, while creating an environment of trust and safety. The relationship between counselor and client is very important to me. I take a person-centered approach which I believe means focusing on the individual and their present needs. I believe in taking whatever approach is necessary to help individuals feel comfortable and safe enough to talk about whatever they need while also empowering them to change.
