Introduction

Welcome Congratulations on making the decision to take positive action in your life. Seeking therapeutic support, whether for yourself or a family member, takes courage and can be uncomfortable, at first, but can be enormously instrumental in bringing about a greater sense of well-being and inner peace, improved functioning in school or work and healthier and more rewarding relationships with friends and family. My Background I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field providing individual, group, parent and family counseling and therapy to children, teens and adults, as well as training and supervising therapists and interns. I have practiced in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, schools and on-line telehealth and provided treatment for a variety of mental health conditions and life challenges. Therapeutic Approach I see my role in the therapeutic process as that of partner and facilitator. I use empathy and respect to create a warm safe space during sessions within which clients can express concerns, identify goals and take action to attain a greater sense of well-being. I support clients in reflecting on how past experiences may be impacting their lives, in uncovering and utilizing strengths and attributes, as well as learning new skills and strategies that will equip them to better cope with and “bounce back” from life's challenges. Through the therapeutic process clients begin to see their situation and selves in a new more hopeful light and are able to achieve meaningful and lasting change. I customize my approach and choose interventions based on clients' unique experiences, needs and goals. Therapies and models I most commonly draw from are: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and various somatic and mindfulness-based techniques. Getting Started Change and wellness can be a phone call away. Reach out to me for a free phone consultation appointment to see if I’m the right fit for your mental health needs. I look forward to talking with you.
