It's an honor to be considered as a potential partner in your journey to a greater quality of life. My name is Debbie Brown. I am an Oregon-based, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC I). I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from Walla Walla University. In addition, I hold a Bachelor’s in Music from Eastern Oregon University. I have lived in the Grande Ronde Valley for the past 30+ years and have 5 grown children and several grandchildren. Over the years, I have worked closely with adults, children and families, providing therapeutic services for all levels of care. Specialty areas include: trauma processing, anxiety and depression management, self esteem and codependency issues, addictions and parenting support/coaching. My approach to therapy is strength-based, implementing modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Problem Solving, Motivational Interviewing, Experiential Play Therapy, Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Art/Music/Equine therapy. I believe it's more than coincidence our paths have crossed. I also believe personal obstacles that may be viewed as “terrifying” or “impossible” have the potential to transform into a bridge to healing and acceptance. Many whom I've worked with agree they need to feel “safe” before trusting. I hope to provide a “safe place” where you can explore, heal and thrive, venturing far beyond the goal ever thought or imagined. With gratitude, Debbie
