It is important to have a therapist who understands the challenges and will give you unconditional positive support and guidance. I have worked in the Addictions field since 1991 and have found that addictions and mental health issues often go hand in hand. I have over 40 years of sobriety from Alcoholism and have a personal knowledge of the challenges that are faced when you choose a healthier life. I received a Master's Degree in Psychology in 2014 and am a "Co-Occuring" therapist who works with addiction and mental health issues. I am licensed in the State of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC). Master's Certification in Hypnotherapy (CHt). I am a Licensed EMDR Therapist and find that it is an effective modality for Trauma, Addictions and other life issues. I am a compassionate and empathetic therapist. Therapy is client-centered and that means that this therapy is for you and you direct the show. I always encourage clients to ask questions and for them to know that they decide how they want to move forward. I am also a Life Coach. I found that in recovery from addiction and mental health issues, that an individual will reach a time when they are doing well in their life and want help making positive changes.
