Deborah creates an environment of acceptance, where the client experiences compassion and empathy. She has completed over seven years of experience counseling individuals, families, children, and couples and facilitating groups at a community agency that focuses on reducing domestic violence. She has worked with the Santa Clara County Court in facilitating Trauma, Teen DV, and Co-and Parallel Parenting groups. She also has over six years of experience serving as a Crisis Counselor in the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Department. Her areas of focus include life stress, life transitions, including academic and career changes, traumatic stress, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. She works with military, single mom's, and any struggling with aging, chronic pain, or disabilities. She is an integrationist, and applies evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused, using a trauma-informed and positive psychology-framed approach. Deborah works with clients in a manner that empowers them to increase their well-being and life satisfaction.
