Therapy can bring relief and renewed energy. I work with individuals and couples experiencing - Relationship conflict and attachment injuries - Trauma - emotional wounds that haven't healed and continually get triggered - Anxiety - Stress and burnout - Feeling stuck in a personal pattern or cycle Therapeutic Approach - Strengths-based: The body and mind have the ability to heal themselves and therapy is a way to listen to what your emotions and body are trying to tell you so you can decide how you want to move forward - Experiential: We go beyond talking to somatic and emotional experiencing to reach the root of distress - Evidence-based: All of the approaches I use have significant peer-reviewed and published research on their effectiveness Therapy for Individuals and Couples: I use EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) to support individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, destructive patterns, and emotional distress. When working with couples, I use an effective approach called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is an attachment-based therapy backed up by 20 years of empirical research, and is considered a proven form of couple therapy by the American Psychological Association. With couples experiencing personal trauma, infidelity or other attachment injuries, I use a combination of EFT and EMDR, to help interrupt and heal negative cycles that continually get triggered.
