CURRENTLY DEVON IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS Devon is a LCSW with advanced training in EMDR, Brainspotting and Clinical Supervision. Devon has a lengthy background working with complex family systems and a ground-up knowledge of therapeutic programs and levels of care. Devon is passionate about helping others by generating trusting relationships with clients and families and helping them to see the potential for their own healing. She excels in helping clients connect to and safely express their emotional needs. EDUCATION & PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE Devon received a master’s degree via the advanced standing program for Social Work from Portland State University. She is licensed in the state of Oregon and has completed specialized training in EMDR, Brainspotting (a somatic based trauma therapy). Since the age of 18 Devon has worked for several different therapeutic programs. From entry level positions in residential care to wilderness guide to Clinical Director of an adult after care program. Additionally, she has worked and trained in community mental health. For the last several years she has maintained a private practice where she continues to serve young adults and families in her local community. In all these settings Devon was also an integral part of advising program development. STRENGTHS Devon brings personal and professional experience as a trauma trained and informed clinician and group facilitator. She seeks empathy and attunement and excels in modeling appropriate boundary setting while maintaining that emotional attunement. She elicits trust and can hold that trust with confidence. She is passionate about working with individuals during times of transition and in creating a relationship that allows her to teach appropriate interpersonal skills while navigating personal, academic or occupational expectations. Above all she believes in the power of authentic relationships. INTERESTS Devon is an avid traveler with an ever increasing need to see more of this world. She is a lifelong learner, nonstop reader, pathological walker, and a mother of two. She enjoys connecting with her closest friends through experiences together from camping, hiking, and walking to gathering for a meal.
