Introduction

I’m always amazed by the uniqueness of each person’s life journey and how God works through the challenges and pain to deepen our faith and ultimately bring about change and growth. While it can be encouraging and beautiful to look back see how our struggles have paved the way for depth of character and insight, very often the process is painful, disappointing and devastating. In my own life, God has consistently shown me grace and compassion—especially when I doubted His presence and goodness. In a very dark season of life, He provided counseling for me from wise, spiritually mature individuals who helped with the slow painful process of growth and healing. I enjoy using a blended approach in my counseling that includes Accelerated Resolution therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy ("story work") and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe collaboration is key, so I work to strike a balance with my clients to ensure the direction we are taking is helpful and meaningful to them.
