Introduction

I'm DD Alford, the founder of Waypoint Therapy, and I'm so happy you're here. With over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and teens in education - including 4 years as a dedicated school counselor - I've had the privilege of helping young people and families navigate life's challenges. Whether it's managing stress, building confidence or working through difficult transitions, I bring a compassionate, practical approach tailored to each individual's unique journey. My time in education taught me the importance of creating a safe, supportive space where people feel heard and empowered. In therapy, I strive to be that steady guide, helping you or your child explore challenges, discover strengths and move toward growth and healing. At Waypoint Therapy, I believe that everyone deserves a place to pause, reflect and find direction. Whether you're seeking support for your child, navigating parenting challenges or pursuing your own personal development, I'm here to help you take the next step. Let's work together to create a path forward.
