Introduction

As a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist hearing out others and understanding what symptoms they consider most impairing to them is an important part of my personal practice. Helping people develop insight, cultivate resilience and nurture a healthier self-inner monologue through a combination of time-limited psychotherapy and medication management, if indicated, are my main modalities of treatment. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Therapy in my psychotherapy treatment framework. I take psychosocial stressors and the mind-body connection into consideration when formulating an assessment and plan for everyone I evaluate. I have several years of experience treating people of various psychopathologies and socioeconomic backgrounds while working for Kaiser Permanente in Oakland and Mindful Health Solutions in Walnut Creek. This has familiarized me with different modalities of treatment so that I am able to make appropriate referrals when indicated.
