I have been fortunate to have a versatile career including social work, education, and counseling. Although each career field varied, I gained invaluable experience applicable to the counseling profession. Through life experiences, both professionally and personally, I was able to draw empathy for individuals and demonstrate an understanding of the difficulties and stress that may arise while trying to balance relationships, children, careers, and life in general. I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education and Supervision with a Specialization in Trauma and Crisis from Walden University. I completed a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology and a Master of Education degree at Troy University. Additionally, I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work from Georgia Southern University. As a clinician and educator, I integrate wellness, cognitive, and multisystemic therapies, in addition to other modalities to assist in the process of hurting and healing.
