Introduction

Welcome, my name is Dr. Janna Broxson and I am the owner and founder of A Pathway Forward to Wellbeing, LLC, I am a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am licensed in Arizona and provide counseling services via teletherapy. I believe that resilience comes from a balance between compassion and self-compassion. Daily tasks and life-related demands often create an imbalance between these important factors. This can cause us to get all tangled up in unhelpful thoughts, scary emotions, and unwanted behaviors. I am an expert in the whole-person approach to treatment. This approach helps to integrate emotional, financial, social, spiritual, occupational, and physical health factors, which are all linked to a sense of well-being or life balance. I am also an expert in integrated behavioral health or behavioral medicine, which aids in my ability to treat individuals with co-occurring medical and mental health issues such as chronic disease and pain management, women’s health issues, perinatal, postnatal, and postpartum, life transitions, improving physical health, and lifestyle changes to achieve desired health goals. I have advanced training in evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Positive Psychology, and other Cognitive and Mindfulness-Based approaches to treatment. I am also trained in numerous evidence-based trauma-focused treatment modalities. Each of these therapeutic approaches can assist in your ability to manage unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, which can improve your sense of overall well-being. I offer a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment, which is centered on promoting healing and promoting resilience. I look forward to hearing from and working with you.
