Hi, there. I am a licensed psychologist located in Oregon and am board certified in pediatric neuropsychology. I am passionate about people feeling good about themselves and enjoying their lives to the fullest. My practice involves both diagnosis and treatment. My focus is always to help clients achieve their healthiest and fullest potential, to eliminate any pain or unnecessary suffering, and to regain a sense of control, clarity and peace. As a neuropsychologist, my diagnostic evaluations are presently limited to conducting evaluations for ADHD and/or a learning disability (LD). It is tremendously helpful to clarify the presence or absence of an attentional disorder or learning disability during the early years in order to avoid the complex problems that will occur if left unrecognized, misdiagnosed or untreated. This comprehensive evaluation will provide the information needed by a child's school or a treating physician and will involve a combination of standardized tests and measures, including behavioral questionnaires and possible academic tests. In addition, the evaluation will include a follow-up, one hour feedback session to go over the results, as well as a comprehensive written report with recommendations. The total cost for an evaluation will run between $600-800. ADHD evaluations are sometimes covered by insurance, but learning disability evaluations are not covered by insurance. I do not accept insurance but can provide a superbill upon request. As a psychologist, my goal is not only to provide accurate diagnostic services but also to help those who are suffering, experiencing hardship, feeling stuck, discouraged or burned out. In my practice, I incorporate evidence-based treatment methods whenever possible as they are time-tested and known to be effective. Two of these approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is especially useful for trauma recovery. I enjoy working with couples as well as individuals and have a special passion for individuals with disabilities or chronic medical conditions.
