***I am not currently accepting new clients.*** I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of therapy experience. I work with adults experiencing a variety of life challenges. Whether you are grappling with issues of identity and figuring out who you are, fighting to break free from depression and anxiety, trying to exist within an unhealthy family dynamic, or trying to work through a difficult loss – I am here to walk with you through that experience. I approach therapy through a psycho-dynamic, person-centered lens with acknowledgement of systemic frameworks that have shaped a person’s experience, whether those systems are familial, generational, or societal. I look at how your relationships, development, and life experiences have created the person you are and I use this lens to help you achieve self-understanding, self-acceptance, or self transformation and to overcome adversities or grow through transitions. Trained as a counseling psychologist, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Howard University and went on to complete my Master’s in Counseling and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Ball State University in Indiana. I have been licensed as a psychologist and endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) in the state of Indiana since 2013. Special interests: racial trauma, racial identity, grief and loss, identity development and identity conflicts, reintegration after incarceration. Special populations: African Americans, millennials.
