Welcome! I am a dedicated marriage and family therapist committed to providing compassionate and effective mental health care for all. Using a trauma-informed and systemic approach, I guide youth, individuals, and families toward greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and overall well-being. My Background My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Sacramento State University, where I discovered the healing power of the creative arts while teaching music to children in underserved areas. This inspired me to pursue a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from JFK University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various settings, including non-profit community-based organizations, schools, medical settings, and private practice. Motivated by these experiences, I completed a Doctorate in Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in child and adolescent therapy from National University in March 2024. Experience and Approach With over 15 years of experience in mental health in the Bay Area, I have supported youth, individuals, groups, and families through challenges such as depression, anxiety, blended family dynamics, self-harm, suicidality, and more. I incorporate various therapeutic modalities into treatment, including: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - Seeking Safety - Family Systems Therapy - Expressive Arts Therapy - Play Therapy I tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual or family I work with, ensuring a personalized and effective approach. Invitation to Connect Whether you are just beginning your therapeutic journey or have been working with me for some time, I invite you to reach out with any questions.
