I am a licensed clinical psychologist offering individualized, culturally informed services to adults. While my office is located in the Monterey area, I also see clients virtually across the state of California. My specialty areas include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress and grief. I strive to provide each of my clients with an accepting, empowering and nonjudgmental space that fosters meaningful change and success. I take into consideration how one’s upbringing and subsequent life experiences shape how they view themselves and their relational experiences with others. More so, embracing diversity in clinical work with a sense of cultural humility is essential, and a skill I strive to embody in every aspect of my role as a clinical psychologist. Cultural identities, or more so, intersecting identities, create diversity and are an integral component of an individual’s unique makeup. By exploring intersecting identities, one is able to better understand themselves, others, and the environment in which they live. In the therapy room, it is important to understand my clients’ identities, experiences and worldviews and also be aware of how those factors relate to my own, with the main goal of creating a comfortable space for therapeutic growth and healing.
