I was initially drawn to psychology to understand how forces in our lives and in our personal histories shape us, and how we in turn shape them. The details of each person's heritage, family path, and personal journey help us understand why humans do what we do. In therapy, we will listen to these details together, with the goal of supporting you to make intentional and considered choices you will love to live with. My training was focused on CBT for children and adults, but I pivoted toward Existential and Psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I completed programs at the Cambridge Health Alliance - Harvard Medical School and the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis. I have specialty training and extensive experience working with trauma and PTSD. I am passionate about child welfare, and I hold a certificate in Divorce Mediation from Northwestern University. I often work with families who have gone through transition or divorce, both in court-ordered and voluntary treatment. I work with you to determine the matters in your life that you wish to prioritize in psychotherapy. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is integrating techniques from diverse approaches to support each person's individual needs.
