I’m fascinated by people and love to hear their stories. Theatre music is my jam (nerd alert!) because it tells a larger story. Some of my favorite shows that I sing along to in my car are: Wicked, In the Heights, and Hamilton. I’m constantly learning how to be a better human and want to pass this onto my kids. I’m a highly sensitive extrovert (how 'bout that for a combo?), which means I feel deeply, get energy from interacting with people, and need downtime to process my day. One way I process is through art. Growing up in a conservative religious community was challenging. I know what it’s like to internalize messages that I had to be, believe, act in specific ways in order to be loved and accepted by others around me. Art is where I learned to be big, bold, and authentic. I use art in therapy to work with career folks who are tired of living their lives by the “rules” of their family, friends, or religious communities and want to embrace their true selves. I empower my clients to use art in their lives to explore, nurture, and accept their identities. I specialize in working with people who have left the church, people who still identify as Christian, and people in the LGBTQIA+ community. There is nothing “wrong with you,” there is something wrong with the world and the systems in it. You are beautiful. You are enough. If you want to believe this, but don’t know how to start, schedule a free consultation with me today. I’m here to guide you on your journey back to your true self.
