Hi! I’m Dr. Sam and for almost a decade I have been in the field of mental health. I started my journey at Syracuse University where I received my bachelors in social work with a double minor in addiction studies and psychology. During this time I worked at the Vera House domestic violence shelter. After moving back to Maine from New York, I attended the University of New England where I received my masters in social work, concentrating my studies on substance recovery and trauma. During that time I worked at MaineHealth running several different therapeutic groups for teens and adults. I then moved to Washington D.C. where I obtained my Ph.D. in homeopathic psychology and human behavior. I moved back to Maine and began working in the residential space before moving to outpatient therapy. I currently have my clinical social work license in Maine and Massachusetts; along with my clinical supervisor license and my alcohol and drug license. In addition to learning, I love to watch movies, play board games, cook, listen to music, and spend time with my friends, family, and pets. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering space for young individuals to embark on their journey towards physical and mental wellness. I am passionate about self-care and understand the importance of treating both body and mind. Together we can build up your skills, improve your overall well-being, and work on the goals that matter to you; so you can live the healthy life you deserve.
