Dr. Sara Giglio Patterson is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the care and treatment of adults, college students, and young parents navigating mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship challenges. With over 15 years of clinical experience across private practice, inpatient, and outpatient settings, she provides a personalized, solution-focused application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) grounded in evidence-based practices. A founding member of Insight Psychological Services Center since 2011, Dr. Patterson is known for her collaborative and culturally sensitive approach. She helps clients build effective coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and heal from attachment and relational difficulties. Her work is especially focused on supporting individuals through identity development, academic and professional stress, and the unique challenges of parenthood and emerging adulthood. Dr. Patterson holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. Born in Northern Italy and raised in San Diego, her own cross-cultural experiences inform her deep commitment to helping clients thrive during life transitions.
