Introduction

Richarne Fuqua is affectionately known as Dr. Shawn, The LPC and she has 20 years of experience working with women in Michigan and now serving women in Georgia. Dr. Shawn has results with evidence based treatment. Specializing in unearthing generational trauma, Dr. Shawn has studied African American women and the mother-daughter relationship, the most significant relationship a young woman will ever have. While Dr. Shawn has worked with women of all ages, she quickly learned the millennial woman needed a safe place to discuss her concerns, fears, relationships, family and friendships. I'm not only a mental health advocate, I am a wife, a mother, a sister and friend. Women need a safe place to figure things out. My signature approach is to create as space like you are sitting with a friend, before the conversation gets deep. My approach is an eclectic mix with empathetic listening, affect management, mindfulness techniques and I am certified in EMDR. There is a genuine concern for your mental health and wellness.
