Ebone D. Coakley

Ebone D. Coakley is the owner of Total Family and Life services. Ebone, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She is happily married with two beautiful daughters. Ebone or “Mrs. Ebone”, as she is affectionately called by most of her clients attended the State University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia and finished her B. A. degree in Social Work from Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA) in 2003 . She joined the advanced standing accelerated program at GA State and completed her master’s degree in merely 15 months. Ebone has over 17 years of clinical and community focused experience. Ebone has a wealth of knowledge in the field and has a passion for people and their personal growth. Her vast knowledge and experiences have guided her from “doing the work of the people” while fighting against predatory lending laws along side Senator, Vince Fort; to working in hospital emergency rooms encouraging and supporting individuals in a state of crisis as they battle the realities of domestic violence, rape, gun violence, and the untimely deaths of loved ones. In these individuals’ darkest moments, Ebone served as that glimmer of hope that helped these individuals to find their resilience and actually be able to see that they can reach that dim light at the end of their journey’s, dark tunnel. Her combined, deeply rooted love for mental health and helping people in general is the foundation for what has driven her career and success. Ebone has always been one to thirst for knowledge and do her research. Ebone enhances her expertise through family preservation and developing the whole individual by incorporating scientifically proven therapeutic techniques to help individuals manage Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Traumatic experiences, etc. Ebone is more than qualified to manage the challenges of any client that comes her way. The foundation of Ebone’s success is rooted in her love for God and understanding and trusting the truths of His promises. Ebone transitions the unconditional love of the God in her, into the clients she works with. Her sincere love for people of all races, creeds, nationalities, and sexual orientations oozes into the work that she does. Ebone views being a therapist as a ministry. It is a ministry that is incorporated into her therapy sessions only as her clients allow. It is Ebone’s desire in life for people to be confident within themselves, know that they are important, and have self-worth. Ebone’s genuine care and concern for her clients is what has propelled her in her career thus far. This desire to assist individuals and families of all types is what drives her to be the best at what she does and love every moment of it.
